about

Ever heard of a cheap synth called the "Realistic Concertmate MG-1" sold by Radio Shack in the 80s? Or an Italian "early workstation" synth keyboard called the "Solton Programmer 24"? Me neither... maybe because there was no Radio Shack in Germany and all the big names in synth history are Moog, Korg, Roland or Yamaha (not to forget a few other greats like ARP, Oberheim and Sequential Circuits... the list goes on and on). So to my big surprise I only recently became aware of the MG-1 (which was actually developed by Moog) and the Programmer 24 and to my delight there are plugins for these... the MG-1 is even available for free and the Programmer 24 has a brand new and very reasonably priced reincarnation by UVI. For the bass lines and arrangement I took some inspiration from a talented DJ with distinctive mouse ears... ;)
